If I open Sbie by clicking on the desktop icon for ''running default browser under the supervision of Sandboxie'', the sbie taskbar icon gets spots on the immediately closes. When its closed, all the software and files and the state are deleted. Software installed inside the Windows Sandbox environment remains 'sandboxed' and runs separately from the host machine. So it must run if you do it that way but the webpage doesn't open. Windows Sandbox provides a lightweight desktop environment to safely run applications in isolation. There is an officially recognized fork of the original program called Sandboxie Plus, which is also open source. The program was acquired by Sophos and later open sourced, which was of course a very welcome move. If I then right click on sbie taskbar icon and select to delete contents, there are files and folders to be deleted. Sandboxie is considered a valuable security tool by many users. If I open Vivaldi sandboxed via right-click option on its ordinary desktop icon and select 'run sandboxed' nothing happens, spots appear and stay on sbie taskbar icon. I know it's the Vivaldi update as I can still use Sbie 5.33.6 on new Edge The update contains a Chromium update to. Blast Microsoft for removing the awesome Guest Mode they initially had in 7000 edit: sandboxie works on. Issue also confirmed by another Vivaldi/Sandboxie user.įor those who don't like going to other forums from links. Since sandboxie is not being supported for windows 7 yet, has anyone found any sandbox programs that work on 7 I liked how light sandboxie was so I'd prefer a stand alone sandbox program. I can still run new Edge chromium browser under Sandboxie so it is definitely something Vivaldi related. I know it is down to new Vivaldi snapshot as I was browsing Sandboxed before I applied the update. Please see post here for what is happening.
